SPONSOR A CHILD’S EDUCATION

Having access to education should be a right for everyone, but many families in rural Kenya face great difficulties for their children to access it. In Maasai lands in particular, many “manyattes” live far from schools, and children have to walk many kilometers every day to get to school, walking through areas where there is a real risk of encountering animals wild animals, such as elephants, buffaloes or lions. This means that many children start their first years of primary school late, at least until they are old enough (usually between 6/7 years) to be able to undertake these trips.

In addition, they have to pay quarterly school subscriptions, which means a significant outlay for families, especially when they already have more than one child of school age. Schools usually have a meal program, which helps families very positively, as children usually receive breakfast and lunch.

To sponsor the schooling of a Maasai boy/girl is to give a chance for the future, to support a family, to create a bond with them forever, to bet on children’s rights, to support an entire society, to invest in a future doctor, teacher, guide, engineer, lawyer, electrician…

So that all children have a future with more opportunities!
